ബാല്യത്തില്‍ തന്നെ ആര്‍ എസ് എസ് ശാഖകളിലൂടെ സംഘിശാസ്ത്രം പഠിച്ചുവളര്‍ന്ന രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് ആര്‍ലേക്കര്‍ സാമ്പ്രദായിക വഴിയായBJP യില്‍ 1982-ല്‍ പ്രവേശിച്ചു. ക്രമേണ അവിടെ പ്രധാന പദവികള്‍ വഹിച്ച ആര്‍ലേക്കറെ ഗോവന്‍ രാഷ്ട്രീയ കളരിയിലിറക്കി BJP മന്ത്രിയായും സ്പീക്കറായും തിളങ്ങി. സ്പീക്കറായ കാലയളവില്‍ ഗോവന്‍ അസംബ്ളി പേപ്പര്‍ രഹിത, ഡിജിറ്റല്‍,അസംബ്ളിയാക്കി മാറ്റി ക്രിസ്ത്യന്‍ വിഭാഗങ്ങളുമായുള്ള ബന്ധത്തിന്റെ ഒരു കണ്ണിയായി നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ട അദ്ദേഹം പാരിസ്ഥിതിക പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളിലെ താത്പര്യം ഒരു പാലമാക്കി മാറ്റി.പല പരിപാടികളും പള്ളികളുമായി ചേര്‍ന്ന് നടത്തുവാനും ജനങ്ങളുടെ ബഹുമാനവും പിന്തുണയും ആര്‍ജ്ജിക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞു. പനാജിയില്‍ -പഞ്ചിം- ഗോവയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനം, ജനിച്ചു വളര്‍ന്ന് സംഘ്പരിവാറിലെ എല്ലാ അഭ്യാസങ്ങളും പഠിച്ച നേതാവായിരുന്നു ആര്‍ലേക്കര്‍. കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിനെ ഗോവന്‍ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തില്‍ ദുര്‍ബലമാക്കാനുള്ള ചതുരംഗ കളത്തിലെ നീക്കങ്ങള്‍ പലതും ആര്‍ലേക്കറുടെതായിരുന്നു. ഗോവയില്‍ ബിജെപിയുടെ ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറി, ഗോവ ഇന്‍ഡസ്ട്രിയല്‍ ഡവലപ്‌മെന്റ് കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്‍ ചെയര്‍മാന്‍, ഗോവ എസ്.സി ക്& അദര്‍ ബാക്ക്വേര്‍ഡ് ക്ലാസ്സസ് ഫിനാന്‍ഷ്യല്‍ ഡെവലപ്മെന്റ് കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്‍ ചെയര്‍മാന്‍, ബിജെപി സൗത്ത് ഗോവ പ്രസിഡന്റ് തുടങ്ങിയ പദവികള്‍ വഹിച്ചു. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദിയുമായും ബിജെപി കേന്ദ്രനേതൃത്വവുമായും അടുത്ത ബന്ധമുള്ള ആര്‍ലേകര്‍ കറകളഞ്ഞ ആര്‍എസ്എസ്സുകാരനാണ്. 1989 മുതലാണ് ബിജെപിയില്‍ സജീവമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കാനാരംഭിച്ചത്. 2014-ല്‍ മനോഹര്‍ പരീക്കര്‍ കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രിസഭയില്‍ പ്രതിരോധവകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രിയായി നിയമിതനായപ്പോള്‍ ആര്‍ലേക്കറിനെ ഗോവ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി പരിഗണിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഏറ്റവുംഅവസാനഘട്ടത്തിലാണ് ലക്ഷ്മികാന്ത് പര്‍സേക്കറിനെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി നിയമിച്ചത്.
